Multi-location retail

Branding for retailers running more than one location.

When a second, fifth or fourteenth store opens, the brand stops being a logo and starts being an operating system. We build identity systems that hold up across store signage, packaging, seasonal campaigns and every location's local marketing.

Two decades of work including major Houston sports teams, the Texas Renaissance Festival, energy companies, healthcare systems and founder-led brands. TopDog Fireworks grew to 14 stores with a 30% sales increase in year one after their rebrand.

You are probably here because of one of these

  • Each store has drifted into its own version of the logo, signage and pricing graphics.
  • New locations open faster than marketing materials can be produced for them.
  • Seasonal campaigns get rebuilt from scratch every year instead of running off templates.
  • Packaging, shelf tags and in-store signage came from three different vendors and look like it.
  • Store managers design their own social posts because nothing has been given to them.
  • The website and the physical store experience no longer look like the same company.

What the work usually covers

  • Identity system

Logo suite, color and type rules, and application standards built for signage sizes and print vendors.

  • Store and signage kit

Exterior signage, wayfinding, window graphics and department or division marks.

  • Packaging and in-store

Labels, shelf graphics, price and promo templates that any location can populate.

  • Campaign templates

Seasonal and promotional layouts your team can reuse without redesigning them.

  • Rollout guidance

What changes first, what waits for existing stock, and how to phase costs across locations.

Questions we get in this category

All FAQs →

Can we roll out a rebrand one location at a time?

Usually yes. We sequence the rollout so high-visibility items such as exterior signage and packaging change first, while lower-cost printed stock runs out naturally. The guidelines are built so a location refreshed next year still matches one refreshed this year.

Do you handle signage production?

We design and prepare production-ready artwork to your fabricator's specifications, and we work directly with your vendors so files are accepted the first time. Fabrication and installation stay with the vendor you choose.

How do you keep store managers on-brand?

Templates and clear usage rules do most of the work. When individual locations have something ready to use for local promos, hiring and social posts, they stop building their own versions.

We have equity in the current logo. Do we have to lose it?

Not necessarily. Plenty of multi-location work is a redraw and system build rather than a full rebrand. The recognizable parts stay, and everything around them gets consistent.
